Today is Mother's day and I would like to share a recipe by my mom called Rava toast. She is the one who prepared this as well. I was just the camerawoman with the voice over. I really like some of the short and great recipes she comes up with. Her salads are great and I will share some of her salad recipes as well. Some of my office colleagues were a big fan of her salads.
It's actually a very simple breakfast or snack recipe and with very basic ingredients and super tasty.
Ingredients -
1 Finely chopped capsicum
1 small cup Rava (Semolina in english)
4 tbsp Yoghurt
1/2 finely chopped onion
2 tbsp heavy cream or you can also use the fats removed from whole milk.
Salt to taste
Black pepper
4 to 5 bread slices for making the toast
Procedure -
1. Add capsicum, yoghurt, onion and heavy cream to the rava and mix well till a good
batter is formed.
2. Add 1 tsp of black pepper and salt to taste to the above batter.
3. Now apply butter on one side of the bread.
4. Then take 1 tbsp of batter and apply it on the other side of bread which does not have
butter.
5. Place the bread on a pan with buttered side on the pan.
6. Let the bread get toasted for about 3 minutes and turn to the other side for another
2 to 3 mins.
7. And the toast are ready to be served.
Trust me they taste delicious and you can have with your favourite tomato ketchup.
