Oats & Quinoa Dosas

So here is the next post after a long long time. Many events took place in the meanwhile which have kept me very very busy. The recipe was ready long back but no time to put it up on the website. Finally managed to squeeze sometime for this. A very simple and healthy breakfast/snack recipe ; "Oats & Quinoa dosas".

This recipe is for all those who are constantly looking for healthy and quick recipes. And as I always say, healthy can also be tasty. It is one of the best breakfast for weight loss.

Oats is very well known for helping manage cholesterol levels and also with weight loss. Quinoa is another healthy millet which is also very close to the local millet called "Rajgira" in Marathi.

Quinoa is rich in proteins, fibre, several nutrients and gluten-free. Some of the health benefits of Quinoa are supporting in maintaining the weight, improving digestion and reducing chances of developing gallstones and kidney stones.

To summarize the recipe, just soak oats, quinoa and urad dal together for 7 to 8 hours. Grind in a mixer to make the batter. Make dosas out of the batter.

Note : Batter can ferment quickly in hot and humid climates. So use it immediately. In such climates, do not store for more than 2 days, else it tastes sour. In other climatic conditions, you can easily store the batter in fridge for a good 4 days as well. Add salt, jeera, chillies, coriander just before you make dosas.
